It is with great sadness to inform you that Cheryl Rose died April 20, 2010 from lung cancer due to years of breathing secondhand smoke at her casino job in Las Vegas.
*************************************************************************
A memorial service will be held at:
Green Valley Ranch Casino in Las Vegas
Estancia Rooms A,B,C--casino level
Sunday, May 2, 2010--3-4:30PM
The family will speak first and then it will be an open forum for others wishing to speak.
Keep your dark/black clothes in the closet, we will be celebrating her life.
***********************************************************************************************************************************
Family and friends were there to comfort her in her final hours. She will be greatly missed by many but her memory will live on forever.
We will continue advocating aggressively for smoke-free casinos in honor of Cheryl and for the thousands of other casino employees who are still breathing this toxic air. Like many past and current casino employees, Cheryl's right to breathe clean air was literally taken away.
